California Forever Premieres on PBS

After three years of filming and editing the two part series California Forever: The Story of California States Parks premiered on PBS last night.  The documentary will continue to air on PBS stations throughout the month of September.  (See the chart to find out when it airs in your area.)

In episode two:  Parks for the Future, Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park is one of six state parks featured as examples of the challenges our state parks face.  The Backcountry Pictures film crew spent two days at the park filming the Allensworth section.

Below is The California Report interview with director David Vassar of Backcountry Pictures.

Be sure to tell your family and friends to watch California Forever when it airs in your area.
