The news story “Allensworth: Una Histiria, Una Realidad!” has been nominated for a Northern California Area EMMY Award. The specialty assignment report by David Ibarr
of KFTV is a story about Patricia Martinez and the daily challenges of raising
her 5 children in Allensworth.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS)
awards the EMMY “for outstanding achievement in television.” According to the NATAS website “San
Francisco/Northern California is one of the twenty chapters awarding regional
EMMY statuettes.”
The EMMY awards ceremony is at the Hilton San Francisco
Union Square on Saturday, June 9th at 7pm. You can watch the 41st
Annual Northern California Area EMMY Award show live on the NATAS website. You
