Parnell Lovelace, the founder and first president of the San Diego chapter of the Friends of Allensworth had emergency surgery on November 3, 2010. Since the surgery he has been living at the Jacob Health Care Center in San Diego.
His wife Wilma and son Ralph have created a website with a service called Caring Bridge to keep Parnell's family and friends updated on his status and to leave messages for him and his family.
