Tulare County Museum Hosts Reception to Lunch New Cultural Exhibit:

"The African American Experience in Tulare County"






Tulare County officials will host a reception to celebrate the opening of the exhibition "The African American Experience in Tulare County" from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 at the Tulare County Museum of Farm Labor and Agriculture at Mooney Grove Park, located in Visalia.


The Museum is also featuring the exhibition: "Allensworth: 100 years of the California Dream" courtesy of the California African American Museum in Los Angeles. A video presentation on the topic will be shown in the Museum's Learning Center. The reception program will include a gospel choir performance as well as a performance by an African drum soloist. There will also be a reading of African American poetry, and refreshments will be served


Admission to the Museum and Mooney Grove Park will be free during the event. For information call 559-733-6616
